COMMON MOTOR VEHICLE ACCIDENT INJURIES
Whiplash
Whiplash (cervical strain/sprain, or hyperextension) is the most common soft-tissue injury associated with motor vehicle accidents. Whiplash symptoms may include stiffness of the neck and shoulders, sharp neck pains, back pain, pain or weakness of the arms, jaw pain, headaches, fatigue, visual disturbances, tinnitus, and problems with memory and concentration.

Other Injuries
Other common injuries caused by motor vehicle accidents may include fractures, sprains, strains, soreness, swelling, bruising, and stiffness in the muscles and joints. When left untreated, whiplash and other injuries can cause chronic pain and discomfort. Even if your injuries appear to be minor, we recommend that you see your care provider as soon as possible following a motor vehicle accident in order to assess the extent of your injuries and form a treatment plan.

Treatment Options
Depending upon the type and extent of your injuries, there are a variety of treatment options that you and your care provider might choose. These may include immobilization (braces, splints, or casts), medications, physical therapy, acupuncture, or combinations of these and/or other treatments.
